This workshop will unlock some of the mysteries behind your nutrition. In an interactive home setting, discover how food affects you physiologically and psychologically. Learn how to rev up your metabolism, eat consciously, grocery shop with a plan and a simple set of rules, and prepare simple healthy meals.
Examine your current nutritional habits and determine if they match the lifestyle you wish to lead. Become more aware of how foods you eat (and don’t eat) influence your daily living.

Night 1:
Food As Fuel: Discover how metabolism functions and learn ways to rev up yours!
Learn the important balance of Proteins, Carbohydrates, and Fats.
Discuss your current nutritional habits. Gain a greater awareness of your daily food intake by keeping a Food Journal.
Enjoy a cooking demonstration on how to prepare the most important meal of the day: breakfast.
Night 2:
Emotional Eating: Reveal your emotional connections to food. Learn how foods affect our moods and behaviors.
Share entries in your food journal. Create a simple change in your nutrition this week.
A discussion and cooking demonstration about healthy snacks and preparing lunch.
Make a lunch to take with you for the next day.
Night 3:
Planning A Menu: Create simple dining rules and a routine in your eating schedule.
Design menus, create shopping lists, use recipes, and make time to cook at home. Learn to shop more consciously. Create a plan for meal preparation.
A cooking demonstration will feature a healthy home-cooked dinner and the group will share this delicious meal.
